Inis Mor

It's August 2011 and we have journeyed to the Aran Islands.
The islands are located off the west coast of Ireland, just a short plane ride from Galway.
Inis Mor (Inishmore) means the "big island" and is the island most visited by tourists - that would be us.

Getting there of course is half the fun.
As you can see, the plane is rather small.

There was no security scanner at the airport, but a scale.
Each passenger had to "weigh in" to make sure we were not over loaded.
Seems we were within take off weight.

Flight time is only about 10 minutes.

As you can see, not an overly developed island - but very scenic.
