Wicklow County is just 20 miles south of Dublin and is very active with outdoor activities - hiking, white water kayaking, and just getting away from the city. As you can see, it offers great views.
The landscape is fairly barren except for areas with managed forestry. Some 200 years ago, these mountains were active mining sites. Lead, silver and copper were all taken out. But, as predictable - the mines all played out.
Wicklow also has many very nice villages. The area reminds us of the White Mountains of New Hampshire. That's all for now.
